Despite our strong beliefs that everyone can be a good leader, exceptional leaders within the student body are selected as prefects annually. The prefects are the mouthpiece of the learners. They sit in various committees in the school, helping with planning and monitoring the integrated curriculum. Learners are taught to concentrate on producing quality work in all that they do. Steve Jobs once said ‘ … be a yardstick of excellence. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.’ By teaching learners to plan, innovate, control and to be diligent we cultivate the culture of excellence. This yields leaders who are result oriented and dynamic enough to face an ever – changing world.
Our belief is that without discipline and order the school environment will never be conducive for excellence. We also believe that love and care is the recipe for success. Our prefects not only are custodians to these beliefs but also guardians of the future. The tradition of identifying, developing and producing excellent leaders is one that we will uphold. After all leadership cannot really be taught, it can only be learned.
